Join us for a "Lunch and Learn" session This session aims to raise awareness and explore the unique challenges older people face when experiencing domestic abuse.

Controlling and coercive behaviour for Practitioners (2 hours)

This training session provides you with an understanding of controlling and coercive behaviour within domestic abuse relationships.

Post separation abuse for practitioners (1.5 hours)

This training session provides you with an understanding of how post separation abuse can affect people ending domestic abuse relationships.

7TH AUGUST 12.30, 11TH SEPT 4.30
Children and Domestic Abuse (1.5 Hours)

In this introductory course you are going to find out how children can be affected by living in households where there is domestic abuse.

FREE Sefton Council "Domestic Abuse" Training 

Introduction: In this introductory course you are going to find out about Domestic Abuse and how it can affect individuals and families living with abuse.

Objectives: At the end of the course you will have increased knowledge of:

  • the signs of domestic abuse
  • the types of behaviours that are abusive
  • the effect of domestic abuse on adults and children
  • some of the reasons people find it difficult to leave abusive relationships
  • some tools and techniques to have conversations about domestic abuse
  • where to get help and support for people living with Domestic Abuse

Who is this course for? All Sefton Council Employees, Elected Members and Partners.
